The Bottletop watch has a clean glossy black dial reminiscent of ‘gilt dial’ Rolex Explorers from the early 1960s. The edges of the dial are subtly shaped as a dodecagon, with a point at each hour position, echoing Omega Constellation watches, or ‘bottle-top’ watches made in the 1940s by H. Moser & Cie. The minute hash track also echoes the edges of a crimped beer bottle top. The polished steel pencil hands are filled with matching yolk coloured paint, and the whole dial is magnified by the high domed plexiglass crystal, subtly etched with a ‘G’ in the centre. The engraved screw-down crown is heavily ridged and wears quite large relative to the 28mm cushion case.
