Tender’s comb is made and engraved in England from natural cow horn, then polished with fine sand to make it smooth and comfortable to use.
While researching cow horn for jacket buttons in the main Tender Co. clothing production, it came up as the material traditionally used for combs- light, smooth, and strong enough to cut into fine teeth. This comb is cut from a horn plate, which is the steamed and flattened side of a hollow cow horn, after the solid tips of the horn are reserved for buttons. Horn is a natural product, and the colours within each comb are subtly different. The 42 teeth are mid-gauge and full length.
Tender’s comb is packaged in a slip made in England of Japanese-woven 16oz blue-line selvage denim, branded with the Red Blanket Elephant label.
