The uppers of Sidings boots are cut in four pieces from leather tanned in England with wattle and chestnut bark. They are fastened to a leather midsole with brass screws, and finished with Dainite studded rubber soles for flexibility and grip. The sole is slightly flexed to put a spring in your step, and the shoes are unlined, with no heel or toe reinforcements, making them lighter than standard boots, and particularly comfortable over time.

Because the leather is unfinished and stained by hand, each pair shows inconsistencies in the original hides, and the marks of the making processes, including where the toe is wetted and pressed onto the last. These variations will become less apparent as the boots age and the leather darkens with use. Boots are sized in whole UK sizes, and fit fairly wide.
