Named for the butterfly effect, that a small change can have large repercussions, the Butterly series of shirts and jackets started as an investigation into what would happen to a Tender shirt if the side seams were taken out. The Butterfly Pullover is Tender’s first piece of knitwear made in the US, and is fully fashioned, with link lines along the centre of the back and front, and no side seams. As with Butterfly shirts, the sleeves are linked on upside-down.

All the link lines are set with the ridges pointing outwards, keeping the inside smooth and flat, and accentuating the panel shapes.

The woolen yarn is spun in England at a high twist and knitted at high tension, giving a dense, firm handle to the fabric.
