The Double Breasted Split Back Coat is cut with a doubled front wrap and no side seams, swooping up to a split at the centre back. Sleeves are put in upside down and seamed into the shoulder.

The body and collar are fully lined with cotton casement, and the neck is cut as a funnel, without a notch. Large side pockets are cut straight at the front and curved at the back, following the line of the hem.
