HERDWICK WOOL PACKING TWEED

Herdwick Wool Packing Tweed is an attempt to recreate the look of standard British packing blankets, used by removal drivers to protect furniture, and at Tender Stores to wrap small accessories and ceramics. The original is a cheap, matted web of fabric made from pulped recycled fibres, and is generally grey with random dashes of coloured yarn.

Herdwick Wool Packing Tweed is woven in Wales from mixed natural shades of grey Herdwick breed wool, with occasional random coloured warp stripes, using old stock weaving yarn. The fabric is heavily milled to thicken it and add body to the surface.
