Galloon is the ornamental braid or tape sewn onto ceremonial clothing and uniforms. Evening dress (tuxedo) trousers are traditionally finished with black galloon along the outside leg seam.
Pleat Pocket Short Galloons are a development of the extra wide Pleat Pocket Bags of Tender Spring/Summer 2026. As galloons, the large leg pleat is sewn down beneath the pocket, forming a wide strip of three-layered fabric down the side of the leg. This closed pleat brings the leg shape down to a comfortable straight fit, and gives structure to the side of the garment, often overlooked in favor of front or back shape.
Fabric is cut sideways, and sewn in USA with 100% cotton thread. Galloons are fastened with custom-made black ‘jigger’ buttons, flat two-hole buttons designed to support a more decorative button from behind a soft fabric.
